My name is Sally. I've been a sustainability educator for 15 years. I work with schools and organisations who want to better understand and implement sustainability, inside and out.
After working as a secondary school teacher, I realised the importance of sustainability in education and since then, this has been central to my life and career. My experience includes 6 years at the award winning CERES Environment Park where I designed and delivered enviro workshops and programs. In 2015, I moved to Indonesia to teach at Green School in Bali for a year. I am now based in far south-west Victoria, working with school communities to implement sustainability into their school campus and curriculum.
In our region, I facilitate the ResourceSmart Schools Program. I also asses school's work in accordance with Sustainability Victoria's 5 Star Sustainability accreditation system.
I completed my PhD in environmental sustainability education in 2015, after 5 years of dedicated research in classrooms and interview settings. Through my experience and research I have developed a unique approach to sustainability education that focuses on the inner workings of human thinking and learning processes, so that what we hear and see becomes true knowledge and genuine understanding.
